Hi ,

steps to follow:

1. start OOo out of an xterm
2. File -> New -> [any type of document]
==> heavy output in xterm (I'll attach the output...)
3. move the mouse across the visible toolbars
==> the icons disappear
4. move the move to "Tools" and click on this menu
==> the whole fonts in the menu bar disappear

Hardware/Driver:
Geforce 2MX400, Nvidia driver: 1.0.7667

I know we had a similar problem on JDS (==> TZ)...
At the moment I see this on Ubuntu-Linux 5.10, Gnome2.12.1 using different
themes (grand canyon, humanity, clearlooks)

I get this effect only by using Gnome, not by using KDE...
==> I don't think this is a misconfiguration of X

Just for the records:
I really get this only using OOo (not by using Abiword, Gnumeric, ...)

I'll attach screenshots and the xterm-Output...
