I've used your attachments and it works. If you have somethink specific you can send it to me by mail. Else, please use the crash reporter from OOo in case it appears. Maybe we can find something at the stack. Or have a look to the linux terminal while it hangs, there could be also an interesting info. My last idea would be to delete or move the hidden openoffice directory. (Make a copy if you need something from it) - windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2 - Linux: ~/.openoffice.org...
