------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Dec 11 11:58:30 -0800 2005 ------- I recently installed a new version of my distro, it contains also the OpenOffice.org 2.0 package. After a few days it goes into 'non-active'. Symptoms: - If I click the icon or menu entries, nothing happens. - If I type the commands (oowriter or the full path to swriter for example) in the terminal, the prompt is returned without any error message at all. - Strangely enough, running the above mentioned commands as root works fine. I have done the following: - several reinstalls of the package, - checked (and changed) ownerships and permissions - executables to root:bin, all other files root:root etc.) (but with no improvements) - a complete reinstall of the distro (it worked for a few days, after that, same scenario) I did extensive googling on the problem, I saw a few similar problems reported, but no real solutions. Also, it seems to me this 'bug' has been around for some time, since it's not only OOo2 that seems to suffer from it. I am using Zenwalk 2.0.1, a Slackware 10.2 derivative, kernel 2.6.14.2. The package is an official distro package. Could you tell me what to do? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
