However, when I address issues I try to stick to the original issue reported, so I didn't address the actual functionality beyond duplicating the crash. My response to the further difficulties would be to just use Impress, since Draw is really a drawing program, not a presentation editing program. Even though it seems like things should work in Draw, Impress is the component that's designed to handle such activity. But you can always file seperate issues for why or why not you believe the navigation functionality to be broken in Draw. For example, you could file a feature request for the switcher to be present in Draw as well as Impress...
