Being "mouse centered" myself, I noticed that no one has mentioned yet another
choice that Word gives to select text (although I may be wrong).

In MS Word, when one moves the cursor past the left margin, it becomes an arrow
which allows me to single-click-select a whole line and, if I leave the button
pressed, to "paint" as much text as I need to select. I missed that option while
I "played with" Writer, and would really like the program to add that in future
versions.
