hello,

after upgrading to openoffice 2.0, I am no longer able to open word
docs within mozilla or firefox.

here is the sequence of events.

1) point web browser to a link that contains a word doc.
2) web browser downloads file to
$HOME/.mozilla/default/xjhrc3dp.slt/Cache/8596482Ed01

3) soffice is launched via mozpluggerrc and attempts to open file
$HOME/.mozilla/default/xjhrc3dp.slt/Cache/8596482Ed01

4) soffice fails to open file. If I download the file with the origional name, I
can open it with no problem. I have determined that if the file name does not
have the .doc extension, soffice returns the error "Read-error" "cannot open
file ."

this problem did not occur in openoffice 1.0

regards

Bill Anderson
