To reproduce: (Note I cancelled the Impress wizard for this bug)

1. Create a new Presentation.
2. Insert > Object > Formula
3. Enter the text: %DELTA %omega = R
4. Save the presentation.
5. Exit OOo.
6. Start Impress again.
7. From Explorer, drag and drop the saved file onto the new Impress window. The
formula we created will appear wherever you let go of the mouse at. (Thats
wrong.. when we saved, wasn't it centered on the screen?)
8. Double click the formula. It will have tabs above it for changing the view
and will proceed to do strange things if you click on them. (Thats wrong, too.
:)
