When using fink I wasn't even able to install gtk2 2.6 but that easily could have been my fault. I just don't want to switch back to fink only because of this. 2. I try to report it to Darwinports but so far nobody on their mailinglist answered me and nobody can tell me how and for whom to file the bug 3. Nope. GTK 2.8 is really different from former version because of Cairo and other changes.
