------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 21 17:38:03 -0800 2005 ------- This issue should be re-opened and perhaps changed to Defect. It is not a duplicate of Issue 11802. The problem here is that when you select the "Text CSV" import filter, it forces the file display filter to show only *.csv and *.txt files. Even though the "Text CSV" import filter is built to support tab delineated files, this functionality is often not usable as such files are generally named *.tab which the File->Open dialog will never route to the "Text CSV" import filter. The quick fix is to: 1) Rename the "Text CSV" import filter to e.g. "Formatted Text" (Suggestions welcome) 2) Associate *.tab with the newly renamed "Formatted Text" import filter. However, the full fix is revamp the File->Open dialog box to decouple the rigid extension->filter mapping that currently exist. Perhaps someone can think about possable routes to take and submit a formal enhancement request for this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
