Using MySQL or JDBC drivers for MySQL tables.

Cannot edit a table if it contains Integer, Decimal or Numeric columns.

Error: SQL Status: S1000

Unknown type '246 in column 6 of 14 in binary-encoded result set.

Error constantly appears on trying to edit/insert rows in the table.

If ALL columns are Varchar, for example, NO errors occur on edit/insert.

Changing the table layout and setting any column from Varchar to one of the
numerics (Integer, Decimal, Numeric) then invokes the error above if any numeric
data exists in the column modified. If it is empty, I can edit the table and put
a numeric value in the column. But after closing the table and attempting to
edit/insert into the table again I will repeatedly get the above error.

How to fix? Workaround??

Thanks,

Ken Wagner
