I ran the instructions on the attached document and arrived at the same result. Just a minor point to mention is that the description on how to replicate this bug could have been more concise if the instruction “Insert->File” was used instead of "Insert->Document". Further testing revealed if the file to be inserted has a paragraph on the first page and then a page break followed by another paragraph, inserting it into the first file will cause the page break to be removed. Inserting a file with more than one paragraph on the first or second page preserves the page break.
