------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 18 06:17:32 -0800 2006 ------- I don't understand that excerpt from man mkswap. Right now, I'm running a "dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/BaueOOo/ZERO" and it's already at: [15:14:12 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~] $ ls -alh /tmp/BaueOOo/ insgesamt 6,3G drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 80 18. Jan 15:12 . drwxrwxrwt 56 root root 3,6K 18. Jan 15:06 .. drwxrwxr-x 4 portage portage 80 17. Jan 18:54 portage -rw-r--r-- 1 vz6tml pcei 6,3G 18. Jan 15:14 ZERO /tmp/BaueOOo is my tmpfs. I really don't understand that excerpt for yet another reason: [15:14:33 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~] $ cat /proc/swaps Filename Type Size Used Priority /dev/sda3 partition 4192956 4192956 -1 /dev/mapper/Volume00-TempSwap partition 104857592 2640252 -49 As you can see, there are 2 swap partitions. One is 4g and completely full and one is 100g and ~2.5g full. Because of that, I don't understand that mkswap excerpt. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
