Currently we have the following font order in
helpcontent2/source/auxiliary/<western-lang>/*.css files:

"Bitstream Vera Sans",Arial,Helvetica,...
"Bitstream Vera Sans Mono",Cumberland,"Courier New",...

I recommend the following new order:

Arial,"DejaVu Sans","Bitstream Vera Sans",Helvetica,...
"Courier New","DejaVu Sans Mono","Bitstream Vera Sans Mono",Cumberland,...

1. Arial and Courier New are used in almost all Online Help Systems under
Windows. These fonts are well hinted therefore they look good on the screen. On
the contrary character edges look fuzzy in the case of Bitstream Vera family.
Windows users expect that OOo Help looks similar to helps of other applications.

2. Bitstream Vera contains Latin1 characters only. This is not sufficient for a
lot of languages. For example Hungarian letters "ő" and "ű" are missing. When
the Hungarian help text is rendered, letters "ő" and "ű" are taken from a
different font (which looks ugly) or are not displayed at all (which is even
worse). DejaVu is a free Bitstream Vera derivative which supports Latin
Extended-A, Latin Extended-B, Greek, Cyrillic and more
(http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs/*checkout*/dejavu/trunk/dejavu-fonts/unicover.txt).
