Actually the file is work in progress; and I have edited my own copy further.
Unfortunately I have not kept the older copy as reference. (And I should have
noted down the location of the problem in that older copy; which I didn't.)

So the only course of action is to check the file from start to finish.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Since I work regularly on this file, I'll surely come across this problem soon.
Then I'll send the file with specific pointers.

In any case this happens occasionally and randomly. In fact, I actually came
across new instances in the edited file and corrected them just yesterday.

BTW I should pointout here that the problem does not happen in the same
table/cell that you are editing: When you edit an EARLIER part of the document,
it pushes down (or even PULLS UP) the rest of the text; and then one of the
tables down the line misbehaves like this. 

I am saying this because I saw the problems only while checking out the
document-- I have never seen a table misbehave while I was working ON it. 

Naturally, it is very difficult to trigger this defect.
