------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 2 00:33:55 -0800 2006 ------- I should perhaps also mention: The delay doesn't actually occur until the form's controlling window is selected, by which I mean: if I have two sheets in Calc - sheet 1 with a small form and sheet 2 with the large form - and I switch design mode off while in sheet 1, the delay is negligible. The large delay will occur only when I switch to sheet 2. If I switch back to sheet 1, I get the large form close delay (see earlier table) and if I then switch back to sheet 2 I get the large form open delay again. The soffice.bin process uses 99% cpu throughout the delay duration. I checked to see what might be happening to memory. There is a slight but continuous growth in memory throughout the delay duration, so OO seems to be either mostly churning through memory already allocated, or releasing memory and re-acquiring it again immediately.
