It's very different from a simple "annoying" issue, it's a real problem. As many other features or issues, this one is not very relevant if you use OOo at home or for non critical jobs, but if you intend to promote OOo as a real alternative for Office use this has to be considered important. I spent a lot of time in my organization in creating spreadsheets that work with large amount of data and are frequently sorted, or have rows inserted or deleted. We are used to WORK with OOo, not to use it for the books and movie collections!
