After open of the label document, selecting Format -> Page and then Page tab the "Page format" is displayed as "User". When that was changed to A4 the document both displayed and printed correctly. That format of "User" must be an openoffice bug since I have relied on the paper format to be A4 because that is the format of label type Avery L7671. If I create another set of labels of the same type I get that same incorrect "User" format again.
