Hi Kami,

my crystal ball really had a hard time to get behind this problem. Next time
please follow the rules on:
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Debug_Build_Problems>
Having the config.log would have saved me quite some time.

Or reading your post more carefully ...

Setting the environment variables... sh: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while lookin
g for matching `"'
sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
Path with space: /Program Files/Microsoft DirectX SDK (December 2005)/Utilities/
Bin/x86" propably doesn't exist! at ./set_soenv line 2234.
-------^ here.

You somehow managed to get a trailing space after the DirectX SDK path.
The whole --with-directx-home=... thing was a red herring. That switch is not
needed to reproduce that problem as configure can find the location of
the DirectX SDK without that switch. (from $DXSDK_DIR). So somehow you had a
broken path entry and set_soenv.in choked on it.

I verified that having the DirectX SDK in
"c:/Program Files/Microsoft DirectX SDK (December 2005)/" works fine.

If I would only use the crystal ball for playing lotto ...
