------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 8 06:47:26 -0800 2006 ------- Hi Ulf, The PPD i use is SGENPRT, the default one. Maybe... What version or type of soffice installation set is used is the point. My environment 1: StarSuite 8 Japanese Enterprise version, switched to English User Interface StarSuite 8 Japanese Enterprise version plus Product Update 1 Solaris 10 03/05 x86 Language: Japanese (no package for other langauges is installed.) My environment 2: StarSuite 8 Japanese Enterprise version, switched to English User Interface Solaris 10 03/05 x86 Language: all languages bundled in the Solaris install media Environment variables LANG, LC_* seem not to have a relation to reproduction. Both settings C and ja_JP.UTF-8 result in the same PostScript file. The environment where this phenomenon first happened: StarSuite 8 Japanese Enterprise version Solaris 9 SPARC Language: Japanese (no package for other langauges is installed.) ====== With OpenOffice.org 2.0 (680m1(build 8990)) on Solaris with all language packages, i cannot reproduce this bad phenomenon, although it cannot be said that font substitution works well. With OpenOffice.org 2.0 Japanese grep '%%BeginResource: font' xx_reluctantly_acceptable_xx.ps %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet1 %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet2 %%BeginResource: font Baekmuk-BatangHGSet1 %%BeginResource: font Baekmuk-BatangHGSet2 (No duplication is found. That looks OK.) (Batang is not a Japanese font, but Korean one by http:/www.font21.com/ ) (Font substitution has to be done within fonts for a given language.) With StarSuite 8 or 8 PU1 Japanese grep '%%BeginResource: font' xx_failure_xx.ps %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet1 %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet2 %%BeginResource: font HGPSoeiKakupoptaiHGSet1 %%BeginResource: font HGPSoeiKakupoptaiHGSet2 %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet1 %%BeginResource: font HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet2 (HG-MinchoL-SunHGSet1 and 2 exist two times. That is the main cause.) ====== The phenomenon can not be seen with Adobe PostScript driver for Windows. ;-> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
