------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 9 05:29:27 -0800 2006 ------- I can confirm this problem. I am using OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 on Windows XP, with mysql version 3.23.47-nt . I have a database in windows-1257 encoding, and when I connect to it using JDBC driver (identified by system as com.mysql.jdbc.Driver , the file name is: mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar), I get Lithuanian fonts displayed in a wrong way. When I edit the charset parameter, nothing changes. When I edit or add new entries in the database, I get ???? instead of Lithuanian characters, like ąčęė. Otherwise, with native databases or even MS Access databases, I did not notice such a problem. the trick with jdbc:mysql://server/database?characterEncoding=windows-1257 does not seem to work for me. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
