I assume that there are more possible crashes than this one. I agree that we
should be more robust against a tmp directory we can't write to for whatever
reason.
Thomas, please first fix this crash. We should do it for 2.0.3 and then we have
to find out where other crashes might appear, but we should write different
issues for those cases.
