------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 1 02:28:14 -0800 2006 ------- I've got problems with remote xfs fontserver too, but a bit different. I'm using: OOo 1.1.5 X server XFree86 4.3.0 (from Suse8.2) xfs from XFree86 4.3.0 (from RedHat ES3) The X server runs on another machine than openoffice and xfs, connected via tcp/ip. Starting a swriter looks OK at first but when opening a document, it shows just a few glyphs and hangs. Maybe this is a dead-lock arrising from a short-read from the network connection to the font server? After trying a few times with different documents, loading succeeds and loading the before-failing document succeeds too. The fonts are now in the XServer cache and the problem is gone (?). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
