But with "2.0.1 RC5 German version WIN XP: [680m1(Build8990)]" i've got similar results. It is as the reporter says, if you open 'OOOReadOnlyError.xls' or any other OOo document with embedded OLE objects, the OLE objects can't be opened. That's the same for an embedded OOo-DRAW-object. In general, that is the desired behaviour, because it is not acceptable that embedded OLE objects can be edited while the embedding document is "read only". The special thing here is, that AR is a "read only" application, so that it might be allowable that those embedded OLE objects can be opened with AR from the "read only" document. But: What will be, if some users have not AR, but "Acrobat 7.0 Professionalas" selected as "Reader" in their OS? Suddenly there will be a possibility to edit embedded contents. A solution could be to allow only "Open OLE with set 'Read Only Flag'" (if something like that is available). Also it might be a good Idea to add a further preference to the "Microsoft Office Load/Save Options. This is no special spreadsheet- or .xls- issue @jordzgreed: pls. specify your OS! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
