So this does not seem to be related to the recognition of the profiles. By the way, I noticed that you are running OOo on a 64 bit machine. Do you have your Debian installed in a way as to execute 32 bit application? As far as I know there is a 64bit port on the way, but currently the office needs to be executed in a 32 bit environment.
