"having it optional would serve all" This function can also be *somewhat*
duplicated with regular expressions. Entering the pattern:
"\ ([A-z]*) $1"
(minus the quotes) will match anthing like "blas blasphemy" and "cherry cherry"
with some assumptions made (like "word" starts with a space). Maybe play with
"whole words only" option...
