------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 7 06:10:56 -0800
2006 -------
OOo 2.0.1 Windows XP Professional SP 2, 1 Gb of memory, around 8 Gb free
diskspace.
Master document with 30 subdocuments, total around 720 pages around 100 embeded
graphics.
When I do a update all or update all Indexes and tables the application freezes
after the text "Updating index..." is displayed in the status bar at the bottom
of the window. With task manager I can see that soffice.bin is using almost 100
% of the CPU.
I tried removing some of the sub documents to see if removing one of those would
solve the issue. After some time the Update succeeds but if I reinsert some of
the sub documents the problem occurs again. I tried adding the documents in
different sequences, but always at some point and time the problem reappears. So
I think the problem is not directly related to one of the subdocuments in
particular.
I think there might be some references in the sub documents pointing to
undefined references that are not set anymore. However I don't have a convenient
way to get lists of set and referenced variables.
Personally I think the problem must be memory related, any clues how to proceed
with this ?

Thanks in advance

Johan Harmsen
