------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 19 01:57:01 -0800 2006 ------- The default (although objectionable) behavior for Edit -> Compare Document on identical documents is to display nothing, and it is so in most cases. However, for some documents (I will attach one shortly) an empty list of changes is shown instead. I couldn't find anything in the Documentation about this, but having two different behaviors for the same situation is not acceptable. Steps to reproduce: 1. Save the attached document in two copies, compare.odt and compare_copy.odt 2. Open compare.odt 3. Edit -> Compare Document -> Insert compare_copy.odt Expected (for consistency): 4. No dialog is shown. Actual: 4. An empty list of changes is shown. There exist simpler documents exhibiting the same problem.
