(<http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/index.html> or <http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html>?) May be a workaround solution for you can be to downolad directly from a server like from <ftp://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/OpenOffice.org/stable/2.0.2> I made my own tests and found that there really seems to be a problem. steps to reproduce: 1. goto http://www.openoffice.org/ 2. click DOWNLOAD leads to http://download.openoffice.org/index.html 3. click link OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 (stable) leading to http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html 4. click "Download OOo" leading to http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html 5. Select language "Britisch English" ) from pulldown expected: selection will be accepted and you can do next selection "OS" actual: Window with new URL <http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/contribute.html?continue=http%3A//l10n.openoffice.org/download/en-GB.html> will be opened 6. Continue with click on "Continue", and a new page <http://l10n.openoffice.org/download/en-GB.html> will be opened, that "British English is currently available as a language pack only ..." ?!?! 61. The trick and workaround seems to be to use the "Back" button after step 5. Now you find the page with the pulldowns again, and you can select OS and Download server (I tried "WIN without JRE" and "Germany TU-BS") <http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/contribute.html?continue=ftp%3A//openoffice.tu-bs.de/OpenOffice.org/stable/2.0.2/OOo_2.0.2_Win32Intel_install.exe> will be opened. That works, but seems to be no "localized" version. 62. Click "continue to download" as expected: download will start from tu-bs. Something strange: On <ftp://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/OpenOffice.org/localized/en-GB/2.0.2> I really only find an empty directory. The files in <ftp://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/OpenOffice.org/stable/2.0.2> are in US-English? My summary: All works as it should, because no GB-English version is available, but the way how to get the desired GB-English version is really worrying. I recommend: on <http://l10n.openoffice.org/download/en-GB.html> please replace the hint " it is recommened that you download the US English verison. It is avalable from the download link at the top of the page." (what might be "top of the page? ) by a link simulating my step 61. back button, that opens the download page with pulldowns in an new window with preselected "en-us". and an eye-catching hint that the language pack also must be downloaded using the link on the current page. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
