Regarding my comment above, deleting column D's value isn't necessary, changing
it suffices:

1. Within a record, go to some column C.
2. Change the value of column C.
3. Proceed to the next column D (using [TAB]).
4. Change the value of column D.
5. Go to another record, e.g. using [UP_ARROW] or [DOWN_ARROW].
6. --> Observe that column C has its former value again. Column D's changed
value remains.
