This does not solve my problem because i dont want to use any function. Pls
add text to column option in calc.

You can use the DAY function to return the day from a date.
For example if cell A1 contains the date 31/12/06, you can return the day

entering =DAY(A1) in another cell. If you want to include the leading 0
