------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Feb 14 08:05:21 -0800 2005 ------- I want to add that what is needed is : dpkg (off-line package installation/uninstallation) dpkg -i mypackage.deb for installation dpkg-reconfigure for configure a package apt apt-get install mypackage (for on-line installation) synaptic or any self made GUI some developers libs are needed such as libdb2-dev : database from Berkeley libbz2-dev : bz2 compression maybe other libs are needed but I don't know... because they are probably ever installed on my Debian OS. I really think that using an existing idea is a good solution as it works on Debian for years... Packages are a good way to update operating system...
