WinXP, MySQL 5.0.18 using InnoDB as engine, latest JDBC Connector, OOo 2.0.2,
SQLYog4.1
1) Make db 'bughunt' using SQLYog. Enter fields with 'boolean' & 'bool' datatype
and fields with 'text' and 'tinytext' datatype. Connect to db using Base as
root, open table 'bughunt' for editing. Both boolean and bool have become
'Yes/No [BIT]' (instead of BOOLEAN). 'text' has become 'Memo [TEXT]' and
'tinytext' has become 'Text [VARCHAR]'. Not exactly intuitive changes.
2) But it gets worse the other way. Now enter (using Base) fields with datatypes
'Yes/No [BOOLEAN]' and 'Yes/No [BIT]'. And 'Memo [TINYTEXT]'. Save, Close. From
the menu 'Refresh Tables'. Reopen for editing.
Now 'Yes/No [BOOLEAN]' has become 'Yes/No [BIT]'
'Yes/No [BIT]' has become 'Text [VARCHAR]' and
'Memo [TINYTEXT]' has become 'Text [VARCHAR]' as well.

I have encountered number of such mutations related to other datatypes, just
have no time right now to dig deeper.
