In Excel (and I apologize for the continued comparison, but I've been using it
since version 2.0) a really handy function is the ability to cut a range of
cells (usually selected by entire line as opposed to cell reference) and to
"Insert Paste them which effectively moves the target cells down and then pastes
the new content. This works within and between tabs and workbooks). I calc, I
have to insert the ampunt of lines necessary on the target page, paste the cells
I want in that location and go back and delete the empty rows in the beginning
spreadsheet. I have tried "Paste Special" in Calc, but the option to "shift
cells down" is constandtly greyed-out.
