In our house we found this problem while saving to an empty drive A: also while saving into an emty RAMdisk. After creating a random file on this empty drive, saving a document works without any error. Also creating a directory on an empty drive is "solving" the problem. We did found the problem in version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 2.0.2. In other versions we did not test the saving. We also did not test OOo on other OS's than WinXP SP1.
