I went to Windows Control Panel>Display>Appearance>Item>Selected Items where the font size is set to 12. If I lower the font size to 8 the problem goes away. However, this font size is too small, so the next question might be, "Is there a way to adjust window sizes in OOo to accomodate whatever font size is chosen for the system?" There seems to be some sort of incompatiblity between the font size and the windows provided by OOo. As soon as the font is set to 10 or larger, the problem comes back. If you are not seeing the problem, try going into Control Panel and setting the font size larger to see what happens.
