------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Apr 9 05:52:23 -0700
2006 -------
1. Install OOo with the eMail Mail Merge Python script.
2. Open OOo with a fresh profile, try to create a Mail Merge as eMail
Result: Document type can't chosen because

<prop oor:name="EMailSupported" oor:type="xs:boolean">
<value>false</value>
</prop>

hasn't been added to my Writer.xcu

this is absolutely inconvenient for end users.
They would have given up trying this.
Googled for this and found 001_Email_mailmerge.pdf

On 1st loading of OOo these 3 lines should automatically be added to user's
Writer.xcu

there are 4 more bugs in the mailmerge.py

I sent to 4 diffent mail addresses:

1. 2 addresses contained correct date & time, 1 email was off by + 2 hours, the
last one was dated on 1970-01-01 01:00
2. Although I can set a sender name, the wizard sets as sender my eMail address
only.
3. the last mail contains an addtional empty line followed by a separate line
containing a dot
4. I set format to plain text, one mail is replied as HTML by thunderbird

I can provide mails or other information if necessary!
