I cannot confirm it. I use German OOo2.0.2 on German WinXP Home SP2. If I follow
your instruction and open NORDWIND.mdb, an example database from Access97,
OpenOffice.org opens the Base-Module with a JDBC connection type. Of cause you
cannot access the table, because the connection is not established the right
way, but there is in no way a crash of Windows, all remains normal.
