Sorry, I do not see your point.

Why should it be invalid to query for all records with "date BETWEEN a AND b"?
The mathematical identical expression is to query for all records with "date >=
a and date <= b" (which works fine!), but this requires the same column to
appear twice in the design view, which may be unwanted in a complex query with
many criteria.

Is there something I got wrong?
