------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 11 04:03:00 -0700 2006 ------- On a fresh installation of OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 on my Windows XP SP2 system: 1. Click "Tools | Options..." 2. Choose "OpenOffice.org / Paths". Edit "Templates" directories. By default, the Templates path includes the following two paths: <systemdrive>:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.0\share\template\en-US <systemdrive>:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\template 3. Add the following path: <systemdrive>:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\My Documents 4. Click OK. Click OK again. 5. Click "File | New | Templates and Documents". Before the dialog appears, Writer stops responding and stops redrawing its window. 6. Attempting to close Writer causes Windows to report that it has stopped responding. Windows offers to end the task. Upon restarting Writer I can remove the path that was added in step 3.
