------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 11 05:10:12 -0700 2006 ------- I have tested how OOo works with various JREs on Linux. I used various JREs packaged the way as described at http://www.jpackage.org/ I found that the dialog Tools/Options.../OpenOffice.org/Java offers all installed JREs only if there is not the symlink /usr/lib/jvm/jre. This symlink points to the default system JRE. If I add it the dialog shows only the default JRE. Well, it shows also Sun JRE if it is not the default system one ;-) I would suggest to change the bahavior, so the dialog always shows all available JREs. It should use the symlink /usr/lib/jvm/jre just to select the default/preferred JRE. Maybe, there could be a button to reset the setting to the default JRE.
