We do not search for particular directory names, such as JDK1.5.1 etc. At least
not for SUN JREs. The reason is that it is not specified how the installation
directories are named and the naming pattern changes every now and then (which
may also be different with different vendors). Also users may rename their
installations.
Therefore all subdirectories are examined if they represent a JRE installation.
The path to these subdirectory is dynamically created.
Best thing is to have a look at jvmfwk/plugins/sunmajor/pluginlib/util.cxx,
function createJavaInfoDirScan.

On windows the registry is used, among other things (PATH and JAVA_HOME).
