I found that after inserting one row in a particular table in a 50 page writer
document and typing text into the first cell, Writer hangs, and I can not
recover my file (file Rcovery also hangs).

I had a table with no header row and one row already pushed onto the next page.
Then, I inserted the row and started typing. I noticed some kind of very rapid
countup in the lower left hand corner, and it seemed to be toggling between two
pages. This went on for a long time so I forced quit. Next, I inserted the
row, saved the file (bad move!), and then began typing. Writer hung in exactly
the same way as before, except that now I can't recover my file.
