I am reluctant to send the data (contained in .ods
file) because it contains peoples names, addresses,

The data is contained in an open office spread sheet.
It resided in the same folder as the db file I created
that referenced the spread sheet data. The data is
small less that 20 names. There are 3 worksheets. But
the report was only accessing the first of the three
spreadsheets. The report was using 9 fields out of 23
fields. I had modified the header first. I used the
wizard to create the report using default options, no
groupings. I can't remember if I selected sort (should
have). I am working on a CF 48 toughbook notebook
using a wireless network to access a linux file
server. I did check immediately after the error to
make sure I still had access to the files on the file
server.

To send attachments regarding issues, please attach the file directly to the issue. Use the link "Create a new attachment" on the issue and then select Binary file (application/octet-stream) where asked, "What kind of file is this?" if your file's type does not show in the list.
