As for how to change the cursor, the steps were in the Firefox bug, and I have copied them below: 1. Unpack the cursor theme to ~/.icons 2. Create the directory ~/.icons/default if it does not exist 3. Create the file ~/.icons/default.theme if it does not exist. 4. Open ~/.icons/default.theme in a text editor. 5. If there is a line that reads Inherits=<some-theme>, change that to the icon theme you want to install. If there is no such line, add it.
