------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 28 10:11:11 -0700 2006 ------- OOo hangs while trying to draw on screen a Word object which is composed of many objects: lines, pictures, ellipses and so on. It happens both in Writer and in Impress, on the same object (copied between the Word doc and a PPT presentation). In Impress, it hangs when drawing the preview of the presentation; in Writer, it hangs whenever the page with the picture has to be visualized. Some lines and parts of the whole are displayed, then the whole UI hangs, adding some lines now and then for some minutes, and then completely stops, hanging the PC as well. It takes a reboot or closing KDE, since from the process tableis not always able to kill the process (it takes more than a minute for the process table interface to come up). I've tried completely uninstalling the program and reinstalling from scratch (removed everything including settings in ~/.openoffice...), but the problem remains. It seems a display problem since opening the word doc and exporting to pdf works and the picture is displayed in the output; also converting to odt works, but the exported odt still exhibit the same behavior on the culprit picture. OS info: Kubuntu 5.10, KDE 3.5.2 AMD 2800+, 512 RAM OpenOffice 2.0.2 attached the presentation that reproduces the problem --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
