2006 -------
- open the attached database document
- open the table therein by double-clicking onto it
=> the table data view opens, but it takes a second or two until the whole 
window
   has been filled and painted


Note 1: This does not happen when you remove the primary key from the table 
design

Note 2: Once the data has been loaded, scrolling page-wise has a better
performance, only the first display is that slow. This might indicate that it is
not really a problem of painting the data, but a problem of loading it.
