------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri May 5 04:42:12 -0700 2006 ------- @pjanik: I agree with the fact that the dialog boxes are incomplete, but not in the 'title' area. I think more needs to be inside the 'box' to explain to users what is going on. Why? It is a user usability issue, which I deal with in my 'real' job everyday. We are getting more and more new Mac users. They don't understand, nor do they care about the 'clean' Mac look. They do care that this box popped up when they started OpenOffice 2.0 that asks them if they want to convert their fonts. Why are we doing this and what effect it will have is more what they are concerned with. If they knew that OpenOffice 2.0 X11 could not use the native Mac fonts and that these have to be converted and that this will take up more disk space then they would be better informed. I believe in KISS (Keep it Simple and Stupid) and this is why I raised the issue of why we even need to name the 'box'. This issue has to be addressed before we put Fondu processes into OpenOffice.org 2.0 and release it to the common user. I know that you might not agree with the lack of a name on the 'box' but this is a 'niggle' and should not stop incorporation of this process into OpenOffice.org 2.0. And the use of native fonts as a matter of process cannot happen until the Aqua port is ready and released.
