This is because the hidding feature is useful for other features, like filtering cells. When you filter values and draw a diagram with those values, you only want the resulting values to appear in your graph. This is why kla closed the issue. pagalmes -> kla : Seems to me it may be useful to add a hidding feature for "formatting purposes" which does what rnhainsworth expects.
