Under some conditions certain functional areas or the complete site may not be
available. It is quite frustrating and time consuming to check manually again
and again whether the situation has changed. This is especially true if a check
consists of than a visit to a web page as for email delivery.
So it would be helpful to have an overview of the site status at hand to avoid a
waste of time.
