Can we re-open and progress this issue?  Here's the use I would make of it.

In some documents, a term is defined contextually.  For example:

> When riding a roller coaster, make sure you
> are holding the bar that sits across your
> lap (the "chicken handle").

In that example, the term "chicken handle" would (a) appear in a glossary of
defined terms, so that you can quickly flip to where it is defined, and (b) be
bolded, italicized, underlined, or otherwise formatted so that it is easy to
find on that page.

Being able to hypertext back and forth would also be nice.
